IT Infrastructure Manager

Steer the daily operations and evolution of a resilient IT infrastructure while leading a team through public-sector procurement constraints. You will balance people management, budget oversight, asset lifecycle control, and technical project coordination in a service-critical environment.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to keep a complex system landscape available, secure, and ready for change. The organization depends on stable infrastructure services, yet it must also modernize within a tightly regulated procurement framework. The role sits at the center of operations, team supervision, budget monitoring, asset and license management, and technical project coordination. You will need to translate business priorities into infrastructure roadmaps, manage vendors and internal stakeholders, and keep daily service quality high while preparing the next evolution of the platform. The story here is one of stewardship: protecting what works, improving what slows teams down, and building a mature operating model without losing sight of cost, compliance, or user impact.

ACTIVITIES

  • Lead and supervise the infrastructure team in daily operations and long-term evolution.
  • Monitor budgets, assets, licenses, and vendor commitments with rigor and foresight.
  • Coordinate technical projects and ensure infrastructure changes are planned, documented, and delivered safely.
  • Navigate public procurement rules while maintaining delivery momentum and service quality.
  • Report on performance, risks, capacity, and operational health to management and stakeholders.
  • Develop team practices, documentation, and continuous improvement across infrastructure services.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Maintain stable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure services for critical business operations.
  • Deliver a clear infrastructure roadmap that balances modernization, cost, risk, and compliance.
  • Improve budget visibility and asset and license lifecycle management.
  • Build a stronger infrastructure team with clear responsibilities and operational discipline.
  • Ensure technical projects are delivered within public procurement constraints and expected quality levels.

ENVIRONMENT

System infrastructure operations, virtualization and server platforms, monitoring and alerting, ITIL and ITSM practices, budget and license management, asset lifecycle management, public procurement processes, technical project coordination, and vendor management.
