Security Architect

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is preparing a long-term security architecture mission for a complex operational site where IT and OT systems meet. The environment includes critical infrastructure, legacy components and modern cloud-connected services, all of which need a coherent security architecture that can survive real-world constraints. The mission spans nearly five years and requires an expert who can turn Security by Design and Zero Trust from principles into validated, auditable architecture decisions.

ACTIVITIES

• Define and validate IT and OT security architectures across infrastructure, applications, cloud services and operational technology.
• Integrate Security by Design and Zero Trust principles into project designs, architecture reviews and technical decision gates.
• Perform risk analyses, document security positions and ensure compliance with NIS2, ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and related standards.
• Support project teams with security guidance, threat modeling, solution evaluation and supplier technical assessments.
• Contribute to cyber governance, security roadmaps and the continuous improvement of architecture standards.

• A validated set of security reference architectures that can be reused across projects and infrastructure domains.
• Reduced security risk through early design intervention, clear guardrails and consistent Zero Trust implementation.

• Standards and frameworks including NIS2, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, CIS and NIST.
• Multilingual collaboration environment requiring Dutch, French and English communication, with on-site work at a secured operational site.
