Senior Full-Stack Developer

This mission is to design, build and sustain a suite of internal applications used by frontline teams in a complex public-service environment. You will combine Java and modern front-end engineering to turn operational needs into reliable, containerized digital services.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is modernizing the digital backbone that supports reception, case management and operational coordination across multiple sites. The internal applications are not vanity dashboards; they are day-to-day tools for case workers, logistics teams and operational managers who need clarity in high-pressure moments. The organisation has decided to strengthen its in-house engineering capability, moving from fragmented legacy components toward a secure, cloud-ready platform built around Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or NodeJS, containers and PostgreSQL. The Senior Full-Stack Developer will join a multidisciplinary product team and help write the next chapter of that platform: one where technical analysis, clean implementation and calm production support all matter equally.

ACTIVITIES

  • Analyse business and technical needs with product owners, operational teams and architects, then translate them into maintainable software components.
  • Design and develop back-end services in Java as well as modern front-end interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript, React or NodeJS.
  • Contribute to API design, integration patterns and reusable component libraries that can serve several internal applications.
  • Package, deploy and troubleshoot applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Work with Azure cloud services, PostgreSQL databases and both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, incident analysis and production support.
  • Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team, taking part in refinement, estimation, sprint planning and retrospectives.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

The role will directly improve the reliability and usability of applications that frontline teams depend on every day. Success means fewer production surprises, faster delivery of new features, cleaner technical documentation and a stronger internal engineering culture. The developer will also help reduce legacy friction by introducing reusable components, container-ready deployments and pragmatic standards that other teams can adopt.

ENVIRONMENT

The technical environment includes Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure, Windows, Linux, PostgreSQL, Git and CI/CD practices. The team works with Agile/Scrum methodologies and expects strong collaboration between developers, analysts, architects and operational stakeholders. The culture values clear technical reasoning, maintainable code and a service-oriented mindset.
