Solution Architect
A major transformation needs a senior architect to define reference patterns, guide development teams, and make reliability measurable across a Java-based landscape. You will bridge strategy and execution while raising engineering standards for critical services.
CONTEXT
Our client, a major player in its sector, is carrying out a far-reaching transformation of its digital architecture, moving from a collection of historical systems toward a governed, resilient, and service-oriented landscape. A transversal architecture team is being reinforced to define reference patterns, guide development squads, and make technical decisions that balance operational reality with long-term sustainability. The senior solution architect will act as a bridge between strategy and execution, helping the organization raise its engineering standards while keeping critical services available, secure, and measurable.
ACTIVITIES
- Provide technical leadership to the transversal architecture team and supervise development teams across multiple streams.
- Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and technical guidelines that align with business and operational goals.
- Implement and mature SLI, SLO, and SLA strategies to make service reliability visible and actionable.
- Manage technical debt, assess risks, and drive remediation plans in collaboration with engineering and security stakeholders.
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are embedded in architecture decisions and delivery practices.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
The architect will establish a clear and reusable architectural compass that helps teams deliver faster without sacrificing stability or security. They will reduce architectural drift, improve service reliability, and create measurable mechanisms for managing technical debt and compliance. Their leadership will leave development teams with stronger autonomy, clearer standards, and a more sustainable Java-based ecosystem.
ENVIRONMENT
- Java ecosystem with large-scale enterprise development practices.
- Service reliability frameworks including SLI, SLO, and SLA.
- Architecture governance, reference models, and technical debt management.
- Security and compliance by design.
- Collaboration with development teams, business stakeholders, and operational experts.
