Solution Architect

A long-term mission to shape interoperable, secure and scalable public-sector digital services within a transformative program. As a medior architect, you will connect business-critical applications, APIs and modern engineering practices to turn complex requirements into resilient solutions.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, has launched a long-running transformation program to modernize critical public-service applications and make them more interoperable, secure and scalable. Delivery teams are working across legacy platforms, API layers and modern engineering practices, and they need a medior architect to turn ambitious principles into clear, buildable designs that keep vital services running while the platform evolves.

ACTIVITIES

  • Strengthen delivery teams by translating business and enterprise architecture guidance into practical application designs.
  • Develop and maintain business-critical applications while supervising integration work through APIs, services and shared data flows.
  • Contribute to target-state architecture, platform modernization and the introduction of modern software engineering practices.
  • Review technical solutions, identify dependencies and help teams resolve design tensions before they become delivery risks.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, architecture communities and cross-team design reviews.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • A coherent and reusable application architecture that supports secure, scalable and interoperable public digital services.
  • Faster and safer delivery of new functionalities across connected teams and platforms.
  • Reduced technical debt and fewer integration incidents through clear standards, guardrails and design decisions.
  • Stronger collaboration between product, engineering, security and enterprise architecture stakeholders.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid working model with Agile and Scrum ceremonies, architecture reviews and collaborative design workshops.
  • API-driven integration patterns, REST and JSON services, message queues, identity and access management, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tooling.
  • Modern software engineering practices including modular architectures, automated testing, version control and secure-by-design principles.
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks, documentation repositories and cross-functional delivery teams working on long-term public-sector programs.
