Transformation Program Manager
Steer a complex portfolio of transformation programs for a major organization and turn strategic ambition into governed, measurable delivery. This role sits at the heart of decision-making, ensuring reliable information and coordinated execution across high-stakes initiatives.
CONTEXT
Our client, a major player in its sector, is navigating a far-reaching organizational transformation in which multiple programs must move forward without losing strategic coherence. The transformation office has become the control tower of this journey: it connects ambition, delivery, risks, dependencies, and decision-making so that leadership can act on reliable information rather than fragmented signals. The new Transformation Program Manager will help the Head of the Transformation Office bring structure, rhythm, and clarity to a portfolio that carries visible impact across the organization. This is a role for someone who enjoys making complexity readable and turning governance into a practical accelerator rather than a bureaucratic layer.
ACTIVITIES
- Support the Head of the Transformation Office in steering, governing, and coordinating the transformation portfolio.
- Consolidate program and project information, challenge inconsistencies, and ensure decision-ready reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Track dependencies, risks, milestones, and benefits across initiatives, making trade-offs and escalations visible at the right level.
- Design and animate governance rituals such as portfolio reviews, steering committees, and transformation delivery checkpoints.
- Build dashboards and concise narrative reports that help leaders understand progress, slippage, and impact without drowning in detail.
- Connect program teams, business owners, and support functions so that priorities remain aligned and execution remains coordinated.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
- Establish a single, trusted view of the transformation portfolio and reduce ambiguity in status reporting.
- Improve the quality and reliability of information used by executive committees and transformation sponsors.
- Create a governance rhythm that speeds up decision-making, clarifies ownership, and surfaces risks earlier.
- Strengthen coordination across programs and reduce duplicated efforts, missed dependencies, and late escalations.
- Leave behind a portfolio management approach that is simple enough to be adopted and robust enough to guide a multi-program transformation.
ENVIRONMENT
- Portfolio and program management practices, PMO governance, transformation office routines, and executive reporting.
- Dashboards, tracking tools, and structured reporting methods to consolidate portfolio data and dependencies.
- Hybrid delivery contexts combining strategic programs, operational projects, and change management.
- Stakeholder environments involving senior leadership, program managers, business owners, and transformation teams.
