WinDev Developer

Two strategic legacy applications need a disciplined WinDev developer to map their architecture, reduce technical risk, and keep critical services running. You will combine maintenance, documentation, and modernization thinking in a hybrid Brussels mission.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, relies on two strategic applications that support sensitive administrative processes and daily service continuity. These applications have grown over time, accumulating business rules, dependencies, and undocumented decisions that now need to be understood, stabilized, and carefully modernized. The mission is to step into a legacy landscape with the mindset of an investigator and the discipline of a maintainer, mapping the architecture and turning technical risk into a controlled, documented evolution plan.

ACTIVITIES

  • Analyze and document the technical architecture, business logic, and dependencies of two strategic applications.
  • Conduct technical audits, map software components, and identify fragile areas, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance while preserving service continuity.
  • Maintain clear documentation and ensure that future changes are safer, traceable, and easier to support.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders in a hybrid working model with regular on-site presence.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

The consultant will give the organization a reliable map of its legacy applications and a pragmatic plan for sustaining them without disruption. They will reduce operational risk, improve maintainability, and leave behind documentation that makes future evolution less dependent on individual memory. Their work will directly support continuity of critical services and a smoother modernization path.
